Session 3 |
Unmanned Systems Architectures and Standards:Understanding interfaces, issues, and stakeholders. An increase in the number of operational unmanned systems is dictating an increased need for the standardization of how such systems are implemented. From how operators are enabled to communicate with and receive information from various platforms, to how unmanned systems will interface with each other and manned assets to cooperatively utilize shared environments, formal standards are a key part of unmanned systems interoperability.
Especially as instances of Joint and Coalition interoperability increase, the successful implementation of unmanned systems standards will serve to enable force multiplication and logistics simplification.
In this session we strive to highlight the need for collaborative standards amongst unmanned systems users, understand how standards enable interoperability, and promoting discussion to encourage progress towards satisfying user needs. |
